Admiralty
We assist Underwriters and Shipowners on regular basis on several casualties matters such as fire, collisions and groundings. We have significant experience in LOF and SCOPIC cases and our experience include witness statements collection as well as representing Clients before any local authorities.
We are used to deal with emergency scenarios and act rapidly.
.Yachts
We assist regularly yacht owners and shipyards on sale and purchase agreements, new building contracts, loan agreements, yacht charters and registrations. We also act for owners and Underwriters in policy drafting as well as in case of accidents, such as collisions, groundings, fire or salvage.
We are used to assist clients before the Maritime authorities in the local investigations as well as before the Tax Governmental agency on taxation-related matters.Insurance/Reinsurance
We advises on regular basis on a wide range of contentious and non-contentious insurance and re-insurance issues in both the marine and non-marine sector. This includes drafting of insurance and reinsurance policies and assisting Underwriters/Clients before the Italian Insurance Authority (“IVASS”).
Commercial disputes
We deal with a considerable number of commercial litigation and arbitration cases. We are often appointed as arbitrators by the Genoa Chamber of Commerce in relation to admiralty matters and shipyard disputes.
We are instructed regularly by underwriters, shipowners, brokers, shipping operators, yacht owners in many disputes such as insurance disputes, shipyard contracts, sale and purchase matters, and financing matters.
We also attend regularly to mediations and administrative proceedings before the local maritime authorities.Personal injuries
We assist Underwriters and shipowners in any personal injury and death cases which our clients might face in the marine sector for any types of vessel, inclusive of commercial vessels, ferries, cruise ships, fishing vessels and yachts.
We assist Clients since the very beginning of any case, during any local enquiries, up to litigation stage.
